Grocery List
Saturday, December 24th, 2011
Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.
John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.
Visualizing the family needs, she said: ‘Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.’
John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.
Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, ‘Do you have a grocery list?’
Louise replied, ‘Yes sir.’
‘O.K’ he said, ‘put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.’
Louise hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.
The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.
The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, ‘I can’t believe it.’
The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.
The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement.
It was not a grocery list it was a prayer, which said:
The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence. Louise thanked him and left the store. The other customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said; ‘It was worth every penny of it. Only God knows how much a prayer weighs.’
THE POWER:
Just stop right now, and say a prayer of thanks for your own good fortune….. Then please send this to all your friends and relatives.

Dog and his Little Fawn
Thursday, December 1st, 2011A lady found the fawn under her step (they think the doe might have been hit by a car)… her Ridge Back dog is helping look after it. The family named the fawn Bella. Once she has regained her strength (she was not in good shape when the family found her) they are going to send her to some friends who (in the past) raised two orphan deer and released them to the wild. Right now she is being bottle fed. Their dog (Hogan) has basically taken over. The fawn even shares his bed.

Have You Heard from a Soldier Lately?
Monday, November 21st, 2011Dear Ones, Marines Want This Circulated!!! Thank you for sending it and let’s honor God with them.
THE UNITED STATES NAVY SALUTES OUR U.S. MARINE CORPS.
THE MARINES WANT THIS TO ROLL ALL OVER THE U.S. , Canada and The World
Please don’t delete this until you send it on,Let’s send it around the world.
FRIENDS ARE BORN, NOT MADE
This is a poem being sent from a Marine to his Dad. For those who take the time to read it,you’ll see a letter from him to his dad at the bottom. It makes you truly thankful for not only the Marines, but ALL of our troops.
THE MARINE
We all came together,
Both young and old
To fight for our freedom,
To stand and be bold.
In the midst of all evil,
We stand our ground,
And we protect our country
From all terror around..
Peace and not war,
Is what some people say.
But I’ll give my life,
So you can live the American way.
I give you the right
To talk of your peace.
To stand in your groups,
And protest in our streets.
But still I fight on,
I don’t bitch, I don’t whine.
I’m just one of the people
Who is doing your time.
I’m harder than nails,
Stronger than any machine.
I’m the immortal soldier,
I’m a U..S. MARINE!
So stand in my shoes,
And leave from your home.
Fight for the people who hate you,
With the protests they’ve shown.
Fight for the stranger,
Fight for the young.
So they all may have,
The greatest freedom you’ve won.
Fight for the sick,
Fight for the poor.
Fight for the cripple,
Who lives next door.
But when your time comes,
Do what I’ve done.
For if you stand up for freedom,
You’ll stand when the fight’s done

USS SAIPAN, PERSIAN GULF
July 23
Hey Dad,
Do me a favor and label this ‘The Marine’ and send it to everybody on your email list. Even leave this letter in it. I want this rolling all over the US and Canada and The World. I want every home reading it. Every eye seeing it And every heart to feel it. So can you please send this for me? I would but my email time isn’t that long and I don’t have much time anyway.
You know what Dad? I wondered what it would be like to truly understand what JFK said in his inaugural speech.’When the time comes to lay down my life for my country, I do not cower from this responsibility. I welcome it.’ Well, now I know. And I do… Dad, I welcome the opportunity to do what I do. Even though I have left behind a beautiful wife, and I will miss the birth of our first born child, I would do it 70 times over to fight for the place that God has made for my home. I love you all and I miss you very much. I wish I could be there when Sandi has our baby, but tell her that I love her, and Lord willing, I will be coming home soon. Give Mom a great big hug from me and give one to yourself too.
Aaron
Please let this marine (and all our military) know we care by passing his poem onto your friends even if you don’t usually take time to forward mail…do it this time!
Thanks,
Let’s help Aaron’s dad spread the word …….FREEDOM isn’t FREE
Someone pays for you and me.

Let’s Keep This Going
Monday, July 4th, 2011I HOPE THERE ISN’T ANYONE THAT WON’T KEEP THIS GOING.
Happy 4th of July!………let’ s get this started now, so it will be out there on the fourth!!!! (or even after..)
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG, OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR
WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
KEEP IT LIT!
KEEP IT LIT!
For all of our other military personnel, where ever they may be, please support all of the troops defending our Country.
and God Bless our Military who are protecting our Country for our Freedom.
Thanks to them, and their sacrifices we can celebrate the 4th of July!
We must never forget who gets the credit for the freedoms we have, of which we should be eternally grateful.
I watched the flag pass by one day, it fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it, and then he stood at ease.. I looked at Him in uniform so young, so tall, so proud,
with hair cut square and eyes alert He’d stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men
Like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign
Soil
How many mothers’ tears?
How many pilots’ planes
Shot down?
How many died at sea
How many foxholes were soldiers’
Graves ?
No, freedom isn’t free
I heard the sound of Taps
One night,
When everything was still,
I listened to the bugler
Play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant ‘Amen,’
When a flag had draped a
Coffin.
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the
Children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and
Husbands
With interrupted lives.
I
Thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in
Arlington .
No, freedom isn’t free.
Enjoy Your Freedom
&God Bless Our Troops
When
You receive this, please stop for a moment
And
Say a
Prayer for our servicemen.
Of all the gifts you could give
A US Soldier, Prayer is the very best
One.
